I am pleased to announce that Hans Gschirr has accepted the position as Vice President, StormWater Solutions. Hans currently serves as the Managing Director, Leistritz Pumpen GmbH, Nuremberg, Germany, a supplier of screw pumps and systems for applications in the oil & gas, marine, and chemical industries.
Effective latest in September, but with the mutual ambition for July 1, 2021, Hans will join the ViaCon Executive Team (VET) in his capacity as Vice President for the business unit. He is responsible to Execute our strategy in StormWater solutions and to build our business and capabilities to support those targets.
Hans is of German nationality and lives with his wife and two children in Munich, Germany. Apart from being native in German, he speaks fluent Dutch and English but also some Polish since he has worked there several years and his wife is also Polish.
Hans holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University in Munich. He also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Rotterdam School of Management in the Netherlands. Hans has throughout his career been exposed to a broad range of different business models, materials, functions and countries that are highly relevant to our StormWater Solutions Business Unit. He has a proven track record in leading and building businesses and organizations, and we believe his style fits very well with our high ethical standards and leadership expectations of ViaCon.
Hans has a long experience from several different companies, many of them in the pumping and water management industry, and his roles have encompassed Sales Management roles as well as MD-roles. 2016 Hans joined Rehau AG+Co., Erlangen, Germany as Head of Building Services Central Europe, Middle East and Africa. In this position he also managed Rehau’s Stormwater business based on advanced polymer and composite solutions.
He will report to me and although his working field is internationally and Group wide, he will be based out of the Dinslaken office. Please join me in congratulating Hans and welcome him to Viacon Group.
